IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | They are 16.5 lbs. Don't get caught up in the size on these, they are 17X7 1/2. They are my winter wheels, and I do not want an 8 1/2 inch wide wheel with 265's on them to get through the snow...I do plan to replace the stock tires sometime this summer with a 245/40/17 on the stock Limited wheels. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | I haven't been to Cap on opening day, but usually on Friday night T&T you can get there when they open and hot lap for the first hour and a half if you wanted. Then it starts getting busy. A lot of people don't go this time of year because the temps are still pretty cold. High HP cars don't keep traction down the track, so it usually mostly street cars. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | After further review, I am now convinced I need cams or head work. I think some 278/278 Kelfords may fix the tq. I am basically making more power at higher RPM's and that causes the tq to be low. I am making most of my power above 5K, and that is past the tq curve of the stock cams. The turbo wants to make more power up top while the stock cams want to make power down low. I'm waiting for some tax money to come back before deciding on when I can fix this issue. Some cams that will make the power above 5K will make this thing scream. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (1) | I was going to do cams, but when I was building my car, there were a bunch of threads about bad batches of cams, and one of the guys that has a shop in the area had a bad set as well. I actually ordered my cams today. We decided to go for 278/274 Cosworth cams. I am still on the fence about stepping up to 1mm oversized valves. I would probably have to go to a standalone ECU, and that is just a whole world I don't want since I am in a county where we have emissions tests. It also looks like I may do the HFS-5 Aquamist kit as well. I'm thinking of running 50/50 meth and seeing where that will get me. My goal is 500+ on pump gas. I also think I will have to change my SPT axle back muffler as well. |
