Its that device with the green display in the picture of his interior. its a G-meter/G-timer. like a Gtech Pro but a little less feature rich and a lot cheaper. It does things like measure g forces during breaking, accelerating, and cornering. also can tell you estimated whp and 0-60's and 1/4 mile times, and much more. I think it does it with an accelerometer and/or a gyro-meter. pretty cool for keeping track of approximate improvements to your cars performance after a mod. both power and handling. definitely worth the money. they're all over ebay. its the passport escort GT2 g-timer. I think that's the newest version. or you could ball out and get the G-tech pro which is like 200+

I really like it. It lets me get some practice without going all the way to the track. I run it at the track and have found it to be dead on accurate. It has never been more than .1 seconds or 1 MPH off of the real time slip. You just need to set it up properly, and make sure you set up the roll out so you can start the timer when the first staging light comes on, then roll into the second staging light before you start the timed run. It also does a real good job calculating HP. Once I set the weight properly, it was with 3-4 HP of what the dyno said.

Setting it up is fairly easy, but takes a couple minutes to do it right. It needs to be mounted fairly close to level on all three axis. It will calibrate to compensate for being slightly off, but it also comes with a little windshield mounting bracket with suction cups. Hard wiring it would probably be a pain since the cig plug adapter has a couple lights and a button that you need to access to change to the different modes. You could maybe mount it down near your radio, but I like being able to pull it out and put it in my other cars as well. I can't wait to see what my 440 Dodge Dart does for 0-60.

I was an installer for years, and I can assure you that you can do it. It is just nice to be able to take it out. The cord connects to the main unit with an RJ45 plug, so I'm sure you could make something else. Here is the only picture I have that also shows the plug.

This weekend I finally had some time to take some updates pictures and to loom all the wiring and W/I lines. I think it turned out really clean. The only thing that still bothers me is the line from the air to oil separator going over the turbo blanket.

All the pictures you could ask for...

Maybe get a longer hose and put it along the firewall, past the strut tower, and then under the intake. That should make it look a little cleaner.

I was thinking about cutting the top tube and welding it back on at a different angle.
