My buddy had a 1988 740 turbo wagon in high school - that thing had pretty good pickup! I like the old school 2 door models that look like they had the roof chopped.

Found a pic of one - hot:

^ yeah the 262c bertone. Kinda cool, but the italian design roofs are NOT as strong as the volvo variant...

The ppl did survive though.

Well I finally got around to swapping out my ratty old seats for some nice leather ones.

The old:

The new:

WTF! It might be the 0-85 speedo, but damn, that thing is actually pretty fast! How much power do those make stock?

In HS one of my good friends had a 80s NA sedan...boy was it fun. We took that thing over soooooo many jumps, he even wrecked it a couple times and it still ran like a champ. When he got rid of it, it had ~250k on the stock engine and it still ran... about 100k of those miles were put on by him (about as hard as you can be on the car, including probably 10k oil changes, no matenence, etc.). So in conclusion, those things are built like tanks.

Yes they are, my dad had a 740 back when i was little and it lasted for over 20 years as a daily driver. It was in 3 wrecks and finally after the last one the insurance writ it off as totaled but it still ran perfectly fine with over 300k
