If you're using HDR, why do you under expose the car so much? I'm assuming it's for effect?

I've never shot cars with HDR so I don't really know. When I do shoot landscapes and sunsets, etc, with HDR the whole point of it is to properly expose everything in the frame (which would be impossible with only 1 exposure). It just seems odd to take 5+ exposures, post-process them, and then have the result looking like just another under exposed picture.

dunno if its the lighting or what but i can barely tell that those wheels have a blue tint to them.

wonder what they would look like on a world rally blue car.
