Default Kym's WRB 2005 STI in the canyons

Yeah, yeah...the spot is getting old, right? WRONG! I love this spot...lol

Here's my girlfriend Kym's 05 STI (all shot with the Canon 400D / Canon EF-S 17-55mm f/2.8, handheld, at sunset):

I know We were both commenting on the monster truck gap in the front. Otherwise it's very clean looking.

Gorgeous pics! Every time I think the 06/07 body style is starting to grow on me, I get reminded how much better looking the 04/05 body is (no offence 06/07 owners ). No one makes a blue as beautiful as Subaru's.
WRB + cleared headlights + silver rims = hawtness

Yeah, she'll do the occasional track day here and there . We've been restraining ourselves with the coilovers. Looks like Cusco or TEIN coilovers with the electronic adjustability, but not for a little while.

P.S. Bilstein PSS9's are too soft!

nah they aren't for mostly daily driving. I wouldn't want to daily drive a car with a japanese coilover because they are just too stiff (not because the spring rates are super high, just because the dampening is set up that way). The elctronic adjustability really is a gimmick, because a good coilover should have one set of dampening levels for the street and one for the track. It only takes 30 seconds a corner to change from one to the other. If the Bilstein's are too soft then, maybe you should go with the RCE T2's with one of their many spring rate choices.

LOL... have you ever actually ridden in a car with the TEIN's or Cusco's? The Japanese coilovers being too stiff for US roads is one of the biggest myths out there. TEIN does more R&D in the US than they do in Japan, and the TEIN's where some of the most comfortable coilovers I've ever had. I've tried the PSS9's, Whiteline G4's, and a few KW's, and none of them came close. If one was good for daily driving, it suffered on the track, and vise versa. The TEIN's were the only real "hybrid" coilover I ever found that was comfortable on the street and awesome on the track.

While the electronic adjustment might seem like a bit of a gimmick, I don't feel that it is. The only reason you'd use one setting for the "street" and one for the "track" is because it's a PITA to change, or you can't do it while driving. I used to use the electronic adjustment all the time. One for the street, one for the canyons, one for the freeway, one for EACH track, etc. It's really nice to change your suspension as you're entering the freeway on the on-ramp. I even had 2 presets for ONE track, and I'd switch presets mid-lap while driving because part of the track had a really bumpy section and the rest was smooth. The same went for freeways. The freeways out here suck, but some are decent. As soon as I merge on to the 405 around LA you better believe I'm switching to a nearly full-soft preset .

Just my $0.02

P.S. I just realized we've gone way off-topic here lol... sorry. Let's go to PM's or something and get this thread back on track .
