I've tried the PSS9's, Whiteline G4's, and a few KW's, and none of them came close. If one was good for daily driving, it suffered on the track, and vise versa. The TEIN's were the only real "hybrid" coilover I ever found that was comfortable on the street and awesome on the track.

While the electronic adjustment might seem like a bit of a gimmick, I don't feel that it is. The only reason you'd use one setting for the "street" and one for the "track" is because it's a PITA to change, or you can't do it while driving. I used to use the electronic adjustment all the time. One for the street, one for the canyons, one for the freeway, one for EACH track, etc. It's really nice to change your suspension as you're entering the freeway on the on-ramp. I even had 2 presets for ONE track, and I'd switch presets mid-lap while driving because part of the track had a really bumpy section and the rest was smooth. The same went for freeways. The freeways out here suck, but some are decent. As soon as I merge on to the 405 around LA you better believe I'm switching to a nearly full-soft preset .

Just my $0.02

P.S. I just realized we've gone way off-topic here lol... sorry. Let's go to PM's or something and get this thread back on track .
lol, you're right, i'll send you a pm. Sorry Kim!

Nice shots! I love the angle on 3, although the rock wall reflections on the side of the car are pretty bad. The wide angle on 6 is making the image look a little strange to me, like the car is leaning inwards (it might be given its position on the road).

Very nice colors, exposure, and framing, though... quite excellent work -- and you've given me some ideas!

Quoted for the truth!
been on my 10kg tein flexes for 2+ years on our lovely socal roads and it handles great.

I think its due to alot of people new to performance cars who were used to a smoother riding car. I had rsr 400 pound race springs on my old car!

Beautiful pictures Ben. Any tips for a n00b? Also, what do you use to edit your pictures? (photshop, Aperture, lightroom?).

Ah, hmm. Carefully select your backgrounds, watch your exposure, etc... I don't really know what tips I can give you, it just takes practice . The best tip I can think of is never use any preset modes. I only ever shoot in full manual. It won't take you that long to know exactly what your ISO, Aperture, Shutter Speed, and White Balance should be in any given situation. Just experiment for a while and you'll get better.

As for editing, I use Photoshop CS3. I usually bump the temperature and tint a bit, boost the contrast, and a little smart sharpening. On pics like these where the sky is always going to get blown out I'll create a fake blue sky with a transparent blue gradient (very light). I'm sure if I hadn't said anything you'd think the sky was real in those pics .

Enkei RPF1 18x8 +35 /w 225x40x18 Bridgestone RE01R's. Very agressive offset, but fits fine .

Alex (rac10000) is trying to sell the exact same wheels, if you're interested:

FS: (NY) - 18" Enkei RPF1's with Dunlop SP Super Sport Race R-Comps (<1,500 miles)
