Default Awesome Launch Control picture.

2005 STI, COBB Stage 2, Stock suspension, front and rear swaybars, fender braces, under body chassis brace, strut tower bar, all hardened bushings and mounts you can get on a Subaru, and other misc. stuff. Power mods are GTSpec Headers and upPipe, GTSpec TMIC, 3" catless turboback, reflash. 18PSI boost.
The car is riding on warm 245 45 17" Falken Azenis RT-615

I set Launch Control at 5200RPMs, held it there for 2 seconds, and launched with approximately 7 PSI of boost, DCCD on "AUTO". All 4 tires spun through 1st gear, but it was a perfect, controlled spin, just enough for zero bog and HARD acceleration...

Now the reason I am posting this I graduated college and hung up my tassel from the rear view mirror. Take a look in front of my helmet and see what that tassel is doing:

Nice pic! What would make it even sweeter is if the tassel also doubled as a vanilla air freshener!

You're right, Stage 2 is not STU legal. I actually datalogged my runs and found that since I only autox in 1st and 2nd gear, my peak boost was only 14.3PSI, which is stock. It won't make 18PSI until 4rth gear.
I basically ended up in STU because I didn't know what class I was supposed to be in. This was a small local event and no one really cared; we were all there just to have fun. No trophies or anything.

And Launch control IS legal. The DSM guys have being doing that with two step for years now.

Probably a less dramatic version of the same thing?

What *I* wonder is what this would look like with the Whiteline Anti-Lift Kit... ?
