Default how to shoot car photos

can someone with experience with photography give me a crash-course run down on "how to take photography of cars?"

i have canon s3, not a DSLR, but it takes decent pictures and plus its got full manual mode. its a one step lower than rebel...

im pretty good at taking average pictures. but when it comes to taking picture of the car. i can't never get the picture right. i take lot of night pictures and for some reason i can never get the focus right. some came out very nice and some don't.

any advice? on what setting, such as aparture, focus, and etc?
thanks

Armin takes great shots!

one of the things you have to remember when taking shots of your car is make sure you're doing it in a good location. boring locations can make your car look uninteresting but overly attractive locations can distract from your car. look for something that is the best of both worlds and remember, the lighting and reflections are key.
