Default Finally got one

Couldn't lease a 07, and the 06 was too hard to finance, so I ended up with a 04 in pretty good shape. With 30k on the odometer, I have warranty to 100k. I even got them to throw some snow tires on it. All for well under $30k. I am going to be hurting with a $5xx payment for the next 7 years, but I couldn't fight the need any longer.

Congrats.

I'm also debating on whether or not a $500 car payment is worth it for the next 4 years.

Congrats!

No offense, but that payment kinda stinks unless it includes insurance. Did you not put any money down and get a bad rate?

Thanks for the comments guys. Yeah, it is just the car payment alone. I owed so much money on my previous car it wasn't even funny. I ended up putting $2k down. For a new 07, I could only lease, and they wanted at least $3k down to get a monthly payment of $700. Their were some used 06s, but all of them had over 15,000.

In the end, this deal just made the most sense. I honestly couldn't wait any longer for a Subaru. Even though the car has 32k, I think it came from a more responsible owner than the other high mileage, newer STis.

I'm kinda glad it snowed in a way. It isn't too bad out there, and it is a really nice time to test the cars limits in a empty parking lot. DCCD is soo much fun

In 7 years to get the car fully paid off, but I'll break even in about two or three years. I never finished the leases on both of my Hondas so I guess that's the reason.

Oh that makes sense.. They added what you owed on the hondas onto the amount, right?

Yeah. I think they called it negative equity. From my 7th gen and s2k, it was $7,000 worth.

I would have liked to get a new one, but I couldn't lease the 06. For the 07 they wanted $3k down, to get the payments in the $6xxs. Tried financing a 06 but they wouldn't budge, $3k down for even higher payments than a 07 lease. I found a Steel Gray with 19k for $30k, but payments were going to be in the $6xxs. I could only finance if I wanted a STi. I probably could have waited six months or a year, but I didn't want to. I always wanted a 04/05, and as we came down to numbers, 06/07s were just too unrealistic right now.

I plan to keep this one for a good while. I'll wait and see how people are liking the 08s, then I may take the jump.
