awesome! i (we) know you're stoked. and the fact that you live in a winter environment, even makes you more stoked.

don't sweat the payment, it is what it is. you can always trade that bad boy in for an 08 or 09 - if and when the time is right.

i picked up an 05 STi with 19K, and i've never been happier with any of my cars:

2003 BMW X5 (still have)
2005 Chrysler 300 (on 22" Dubs)
2001 BMW 530i Sport
1988 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 (ex HWY Patrol Car - gears, exhaust and pully)
1987 Mitsu Mirage Turbo (exhaust, VBC)
1987 Mitsu Starion
1978 VW Scirocco(4 speed! lol)
1994 4 Runner (ass - no offence)
2000 Nissan Xtrerra

That said, i'd dump her in 2 shakes for an 08', 09' or 2010 STI . happy motoring. and most importantly - DRIVE SAFE! and throw Cobb Stage 2 on it.

That's exactly what it's called. Makes sense now.

Rolling negative equity into a new vehicle payment is not really a good plan. If you lease a vehicle, stay with it till the end of the term.

Unfortunately for the new STi owner, the salesman did what he was expected to do; capitalize on an enthusiastic buyer in a not-so-good situation. As has been said, if the buyer is happy, then it's a good deal for him. However, 04/05 STis with ~25k miles are going for ~$25k in our area (New Orleans) right now. Our local subie dealer has sold several of them in the past three months.

Now, get yourself a down pipe ($250) and a used Version 1 Accessport
($500) and flash stage 2 and you will really like your STi. Check the Personal for Sale forums.

Peace,

Curtis

Thanks for the comments guys. One reason why my payments are so high is probably because I have GAP insurance. Basically, if the car is stolen/totaled, it is refundable by up to 150% according to blue book value.

I make about $600 a month so I'll be cutting it close without hitting overtime. My parents are going to pay the insurance. I have Progressive, and the insurance is slightly higher than it was with the s2k, which was in the $4**s. We asked them why, and they said "Because he is 19, and is driving one of the fastest cars on the planet"

$600 a month??? or a week? Please say it's a typo and you make $600 a week.
