lol..the key to driving with your brights on is never cleaning the lens Funny thing about the 'beater' is I never give it half the attention of my Subaru. It just sits there waiting for a parts run, dump trip or a big storm. I curse it on the uphills and praise it in a blizzard. I did give it full synthetix' though

my 'little mule' is powered by the bigger 2.7 4' cyl. You would think it might have some power.hehhe NOT! I spend more time in 3rd gear than any gear...winding the hell outta of it.lol. This darn' car will not quit. When the exaust fell off so did the power. Sounds mean now but is even slower. So slow that CAL TRANS drivers are now passing me . I wish I had the Twooper for the comfort though

Yeah I love mine, does your isuzu seem to "heal" its self? One day ill get a check engine, one day a drop of oil, one day a hard shift, one day a hard start, but then it all goes away and drives perfect? is yours 4wd?

No grief whatsoever. No oil, CEL's and the 5 speed shifts NICE. It is 4wd and 2wd which I drive in most of the time....Lock the hubs in real snow. We put new shocks and full brakes + a tune or two and always used synthetix in the motor, gearbox, and dif' and she's been the ultimate 'beater'. However it is only a matter of time until I can afford to get a better and faster 'beater'. I'll remember OL' Grey though as a faithful companion and super reliable work horse

We got lucky I think and got a great set of rotors. Brakes work perfect: progresive and very strong.

Yeah thats the next on our list. It already has new pads, booster, and master cyl. Maybe the rotors are just out of spec? Are you on planetisuzoo?

No pics in the memory card but my other vehicles are a 2007 Nissan Versa, a 2005 Dodge Durango Hemi 4x4 and I just sold my 2000 dually Dodge Ram 4x4 diesel. I'll be picking up another pickup truck when I run across one in the price range I'm looking for.

Bump for my new (to me) beater.

It's a 2006 Suzuki GS500F. 487cc parallel-twin, 6-speed, 4-pot disc brakes on the front and 2-pot on the back just like our cars. It's been dropped, but that's OK because I'm a motorcycle n00b and will probably drop it myself. I haven't taken it past 7000RPM yet but it's still plenty fast for the highway. It's really light so it's nimble in the turns and accomodating to newbie riders like me. Claimed performance specs are: quarter mile in the low 14s, top speed of 110MPH.

The best part? My average fuel economy across the first 3 tankfuls is 62MPG. Suck it, Big Oil and hybrid owners.
