Here is my favorite beater that gives me close to 38mpg. 91k on the odometer so she's just breaking in.
And she's box stock too. My next mod will be some tint this weekend

No pictures but I seem to rock a GMC Sierra 1500, but that may be because I always seem to be hauling something for work or a friend.

My old beater. 1990 Isuzu Amigo 2WD. Oversize tires (relative to stock, anyway) and...DEEP DISH HAMMERS, YO! It died at 131k miles from a blown head gasket.

Sorry for the crap quality.. the only pictures I had of it were crummy scans from disposable-camera photos.

Even though it was only RWD, I never got it stuck. Probably because when I saw a big mud pit ahead, I'd floor it and hit it at 40+ mph. One time, the left-front wheel found a massive hole hidden underneath a mud puddle. It hit hard enough to dislocate & relocate my shoulder in one shot (death grip on steering wheel), but the only thing that happened to the truck was a bent strut.

Ahh, good times. I miss that truck.

You too. I gotta get into another beater truck soon. There's nothing quite as liberating as flying through a narrow, muddy trail in a vehicle that you don't care about damaging.
