Default gradualepiphany's picture thread

I took a drive up to Yosemite yesterday and took a few pictures - only one of the car because she's filllllthy right now after a solid week and a half of roadtripping. Anyways I'm new around here so I'm not sure if it's kosher to post non-STi pics, and I'll stop if people are annoyed by it. Anyways - c&c welcomed of course.

thanks guys - I actually have a crappy old canon EOS 300D and I used my 28-135 IS USM for all of these - along with an assortment of filters. I really want to get a better digital camera and a medium format film system, but I bought an STi instead. priorities, you know? : )

Nice! Yosemite's on my list of places to climb. It's been Joshua Tree the last two years for me, but I promised myself I'll go in 2007. Hope you had a good time.

thanks much for all the kind comments -

darksti - the filters I used were pretty much the usual suspects - UV, skylight, circular polarizer, and a few different NDs. I did the de-saturation in adobe lightroom.

jdmmuscle & kym - I really want to go back up there sometime to camp - the area looks like it'd be a ton of fun, and I really need to get back into camping - in highschool I used to do a ton of backpacking, but I haven't been in years, which is rather sad. jobs suck : ) I believe I took all of mine off of highway 120 and 108 though - I'll have to look back at a map and figure out if I hit 140 or not - when I do road trips I generally dont plan a route or pay attention to where I'm going until I decide it's time to head back - then I dig out a map and figure out where I am and how to get back... makes it more interesting : )
