^just dug into nasioc. they weighed the STi trunklid with a WRX wing on it at 30lbs. So some weight savings is to definitely be had here. Going to try to get it done. Is CF any cheaper? Would it be easier for them to work with? Trying to limit overexpenditures.

sorry to hear that man. On the side note, if you decide to go with the spec c trunk, it's aluminum and only weighs 11lb, so that's about 20lb lighter than the stock one...so, go for it man! It should be around $500 shipped.

I guess so. I'm definitely not getting rid of them. Thankfully, they weren't hit.

+10000000 Ditto.

People should be required to get a special licence to drive any car that weighs more than 3500 pounds.... I had my STI for 3 weeks....

repeat, 3 weeks and I came out into the parking lot to see the rear bumper totally crushed, and the rear quarter panel dented. It was hit high, so it had to be the bumper of an SUV... Of course no car was parked next to me... and there was no note..... I was just a little bit pissed.

Yeah, It is a great thing that I was there when it happened. I'm working with insurance right now, they're waiting for her side of the story (even though I have her on the police report admitting guilt). I agree about the SUV thing. Just think, she claimed to not have seen me sitting there. The rear wing of my car is what...5 feet off the ground? Thats a child! She has no business being behind the wheel of something that large.

Soares-- If the spats got hit, I would have been realllly mad. haha
