mind if i ask what settings you used to get the shot of the gauge cluster?

Set the camera on a tripod inside the car (easier said than done ), set camera to shutter priority mode, and set the shutter speed at about one and a half seconds on a timer. Listen for the click of the shutter, blip the throttle.

Thanks, but contrast was left alone really. Bumped saturation a bit (too much in shot 2, overcompensated for the JPG conversion loss), added the bi-colored filters.

And yes, the thrifty 50 IS a ton of fun. Best $80 I've spent in ages.
