I've taken a liking to wingless STi's from everything but a profile view...i think they just look odd when you look at them from the side....but 3/4 view they look mean...

I agree with the guy you quoted, I really don't like the looks of a wingless STI. It makes it look way slower, less stylish, and much much more like any other 4 door. However, that is just the way I see things. It looks bigger with the wing, more powerful. It almost looks to me with the wing off somewhat like the front was jacked up and the back lowered... which looks pretty funny in my head.
