IWSTI Addict since: Dec 2007 | #8 got my vote. good composition and good exposure. I think anyone wanting to do photography, even semi seriously should calibrate their monitors. Alot of exposures here could use work. Good work to all who participated though. Not alot of Nature on a movie set, so I never got around to shooting anything myself this go around. |

| The Next Petter Solberg Feedback Score: 1 reviews | Although 8 is quite breathtaking, and 9 is also quite nice... i went with #2. I'm starting to feel like we need more parameters to judge these on.... anyone else feel that way? |

| The Next Petter Solberg Feedback Score: 1 reviews | I'm confused about how #3 fits the contest guidelines. #8 is great....it was a hard choice between that shot and #5... |

IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2008 | I think #8 is amazing, and even though it SCREAMS a certain particular photographer on here, I voted for it anyway!! Just kidding, another great production from him... errrr... I think... I agree with ebhelp, how does 2 or 3 fit the rules? Granted #2 is not actually B&W, but it is sooooo desaturated that it's almost as though the person left it with just enough color to argue it wasn't B&W... Granted, I don't agree with the rule that a nature shot SHOULDN'T be B&W, but it was a rule... A rule, in fact, printed just above the photo and YET IT STILL RECEIVES VOTES!!! I don't understand... Finally, I don't know why I'm not in love with #9, cus it seems nice... but I'm not. Maybe cus it got put right next to #8, I don't know... Ok, sorry, I'm done! |

IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2006 | I left #2 in because of the fact that the scene was exposed for the light in the background, making the foreground black. I had the option to remove it from the person who sent it in but I kept it. I left #3 in as well because while I didn't agree with the shot itself, I did say "found in nature", where I guess you could find grapes. My problem with #9 is that the focus is just a little off to the right instead of more to the left. A smaller aperture would have been better for this shot IMO. |

IWSTI Addict since: May 2008 | I think he was referring to ducks in general. Tough one, I liked last 3 the best, went with #9 because I just happen to be in the mood for a bright, detailed composition. Could've gone with either of the three in any given moment. These are getting tough to judge. I'd like to see more abstract themes, such as a feeling, like "Sorrow" or something like that. I like how they generally result with more diverse submissions, since they're greatly open to interpretation (kinda like when you did "Yellow" or "Three".) Some other ideas: "Distance", "Love", "Information"... Good job everyone & thanks to Parker for putting these together! |
