Default New CF Lip, w/ HDR

Just installed a new lip, and washed the car. Went for a quick shoot.... terrible mid day light and crappy location so I tried a little HDR.
Let me know what you think.

both look horribly overdone...

Note to self: carbon fiber doesn't look good when in an HDR photo.

I like the lip, not a fan of the hdr. +1 for original pics. How much was the lip?

I agree on these harsh HDR stuff, always thought it looks weird. I used a pre set from photomatrix....i toned it down a bit... look more original. better?

Definatly better. Still to much blue IMO. Lip looks great though, just needs a better angle to do it justice. I liek it because it looks very effective..

My apologies, but I'm not diggin' these photos at all. As said before, CF is a no-go with HDR, and beyond that, the halo-effect is killing me. The angle of the car is very unflattering, but #2 is better. You're completely choked up on the car because it's in the middle of the frame.

If you want to try to fix the second one, re-do it with the light smoothing on High, Luminosity on -5, and the Micro Smoothing on 30.

P.S. Post an untouched version, then the rework .

agreed...I don't think there is a good fix to this shot right now. The angle, though I didn't mention it because of crying so hard (), is very unflattering. Not a good look for such a nice car.
