Tell her to install a Boomerang, best security ever. Uses GPS to track a stolen vehicle, and is inexpensive.

I like everything about the Mugen Si except that front lip/splitter thing. Other than that, it's a nice car!

why? any limited edition "performance" car like this should hold it's value well. even if it doesn't have any extra power, there are a lot of honda fanbois out there who would gladly take this off her hands in a couple years for near the price she paid...unless of course, they keep bringing mugens over here...

My my friend got back from basic and AIT I went with him to get service on his SI, and the salesman tried to talk him into one of those. My friend just started to laugh at the guy and walked away. Salesman turned to me and asked what I thought of it and if I would be interested in it. My response
" um, I have a STI. No thanks "

in hers and in many other's defense, people spend quite a bit more money after purchasing their car to get it to the point where "they" want it. The difference between this car and the standard Si is:

Cat Back exhaust ($400-500?)
Full Body Kit Painted ($500-1000?)
Suspension ($400-1000?)
Rims ($1000-1500?)
Grills & Wing Painted ($300-600?)

So base price for 4 door Si is $21,300 and the base price of the Mugen Si is $29,500...a $8,200 difference. If you take my figures above, which are rough figures, that takes the difference down to $3,600 at the high end.

Granted, most people are going to want to do this on their own but Honda fans would love the Mugen logo, and others may want the warranty-able car, the better stock wheels, etc., that is only value they can/want to perceive.

Full body kit on a really slow car = kinda ricey though. I can see where you're coming from though.

I'd hardly call the Si a "really slow car". And ricey? i think people have the wrong idea of what ricey really is.
