$30k for it is not as attractive. Even it is 1 in 1000.
Mugen is know for their engine building.
Now if Mugen hand build and blue printed the engine, to me that is worth $30k or more.
Would be nice if it is more closer to the motor in S2000, 9k red line and 240hp range.
This is no different than the regular WRX with STI looks and suspension but minus the power train.
Here is a more attractive Mugen. Too bad, not in USA.

well I wouldn't make too much fun. Some of the domestic carbage is getting 400hp for less than 40K. If subaru doesn't step up the game, they'll look silly asking 40K for 300hp.

That 400 hp still isn't performing like an STI though. (see ls2 gto vs sti or shelby mustang gt (I know not 400 hp) vs sti.)

hondas are great cars and the k series is a great engine platform to start with granted the car is drive by wire and there is no kpro availabe for it so that kind of sucks but the rsx (02-05ish) were still have throttle cables and there is krpo and a plethora of aftermarket support I have seen 300whp out of a 2.4l k series all motor. that being said the car is a little pricey but as mentioned before if you're gonna keep it for a loonnnggg time and keep the mileage on the low side you'll get top dollar for it down the road as most of them will sadly end up stolen for some asshole to put the seats and wheels on his ****box 96 EK hatch thats the major down fall of hondas they are theft magnets

Hi, run on sentence much?

I agree though, of the 1000/3000 that were made, I expect about 70-80% will be stolen within the first 2 years. I mean, the 99 & 00 Si is still a high-theft item. I know...mine was stolen.

It's not always about HP per $. It's the total package. That is why we all have STI right?
I think the mugen is cool, only if there was a little more power.
Stock power level for $10k more just feel suck. At least the RR have a few more HP and a full carbon bumper.

yea not a grammar major lol.... thats part of the reason I sold my hatchback to much theft in the honda scene. Its not even a community like stis evos the z cars etc. etc. its just a scene cause either your car gets stolen or you're lucky enough like me to get lowballed on your car and you just cut your losses and get out. The sad thing is that I do miss my honda it was truly a great little car. I had a k20 in my 93 hatch and I used to pound the piss out of it and still get 25 mpg around town but in the end I knew it would wind up stolen if I kept any longer I had that car for 4 years and I still think about it all the time.

the good part about it being stolen is you'd usually get more money from the insurance than you would if you sold it. I actually got mine back, which sucked to a degree because I still had to pay the $200 deductible for the work that needed to be done to it and they only covered up to $200 of the stuff that was in the car. Lost all of my school stuff, my softball gear and a couple things that weren't even mine. Since my books were at least $200, they just cut me a check and did everything else.
