Default looking for critiques........'02 NSX shoot

Well, we had a honda meet locally and a Buddy wanted me to take some shots of his NSX. I couldn't resist. I'm really looking for comments and critiques.

I hope you enjoyed them.

You need to ask Parker, he's a good photography critic (seriously). I'm no expert, but I'll give it a shot...

For my personal taste you're too choked-up on the car in all of the shots, give it some space so the picture can breathe, give the viewer the opportunity to find the focal point (not difficult with an NSX).

Shot 1: Be careful to be on flat ground with this type of shot, otherwise the front wheel that you don't want to show can take over the picture.

Shot 2: The background is hurting this one.

Shot 3: The background (dumpster) is hurting this one as well, and the car is a little too close to the trailer.

Shot 4: Out of focus, don't even bother straightening it.

Shot 5: Beautiful, just needs a little more breath.

Shot 6: Not the best angle for the NSX, and the wall in the background is throwing things off a bit as far as how straight it looks, but this is a nice shot.

Side Shot: Nice, but needs more boke, and a little more room to breathe.

PLEASE do not take offense, your shots are very nice, but just a little here and there can make them stellar.

#1 - you're too low. The car doesn't look like it should.
#2 - i love rolling shots, but this one lacks that cool feeling because of the different shadows being cast upon it and the road by items on the left side of the road (driver's side). and the background is distracting
#3 - great idea, poor execution...and i say this because you still need some more separation from your subject and your background. the car seems very close to the trailer to where it almost blends in. use a larger aperture if you can as well so you'll get some better bokeh and not have background items be so distracting (I remember more about the trash can than I do about the car)
#4 - great idea, but out of focus
#5 - awesome shot, but because I like to burn the ground, I think it could look better if the ground looked less like the color of the car
#6 - best of the bunch. one of the next things to invest in for car photography is a circular polarizer...it will usually help rid you of those harsh light reflections that tend to get distracting. i almost always forget to bring mine with me when I go shoot...

Looks to be quick and dirty so not too bad but get an idea of what you want before you set things up...it tends to make your shots look a little more vibrant instead of just point and shoot.

hahahahahha, thanks for the shoutout! and as a side note to your side shot reference, it's called bokeh.

All photographers, whether pro or not, can use a little criticism here and there...some more than others. Don't feel sorry for giving your feedback and helping another person better themselves. I'd rather have 10 people in my thread telling me what they would have done instead of getting 10 people posting "nice pics". "Nice pics" doesn't tell me crap.
