I can definitely see that you're making good progress. Actually you both have improved tremendously over time.

, you have a great eye for post processing (which I definitely know I need to work on) but sometimes your compositions aren't there. They've improved quite a bit, that's for sure!

I find it funny that I log in tonight and I have a PM from both of you about two different things! Not a bad thing, just kinda funny.

Actually, the correct spelling is boke, which is a Japanese word meaning "out of focus" or "blur". "Bokeh" is simply a spelling that photographers created in an effort to get the public to pronounce it correctly because people were pronouncing it like "joke". Boke is pronounced exactly like a "bouquet" of flowers .

and the 2nd just needed to be more in focus and maybe have that whole heart shape in the background instead of cropping it off.
nice pics overall tho dude, just my input.

^^^^ Awesome thanks guys, I'm always afraid of showing too much background. I will redo a couple for further criticism.

Kit08 I have that shot and here you go.

Yeah, the blur kills it, fixing the front and the seats would be useless. The other problem is where the car is sitting, there are too many horizontal lines, the car seems to be tipping this way and that.

I don't know enough myself to give good advise, but I can agree with what the other guys said only after they said it. I'm still learning a lot myself. It is very tough to take outstanding photos as there are so many variables to think about. But you are on your way. Goodluck.

+1 The advise you do get about your work sticks with you a lot better than information from a book.

Ultimate Lurker made some good points. This is what it seems to me.... I'm not sure what camera you used, but it seem like it's on center one point focus, which explain why a few of these shots seems blurry. i.e. the shot in post #22. Also it seem to me that it was shot in shade... and you're trying to bring out the colors and detail back from an under exposed file.
Now on that thing bout your background is over powering and distracting. You can bring your car out away from the back ground about 15 feet... keep a more shallow focus on the car... that should make the ride pop.
As for the last shot above... I see alittle dodging and burning... becarfull when using all that stuff... it's gotta be settle. The best way to do it is to take your time and set it up right, then have to come back and photoshop it out for hrs.
Just remember it's all about the play of light. And when it comes to shooting an object... try to put some personality into it, make it come alive.
Good luck, and happy shooting.
