Default My LS6 FD

Here is a car that I traded my STi for. It still has long ways to go. Made 395rwhp through two cats. It seems like the cats are HUGE restriction, and it will put down much more power w/o them. I think I'll take them off for the time being until I take the car to Korea and get it smogged. So far, the car is coming along very nicely and it's so much fun to drive. I'm loving the torque from low RPM(300+rwtq at around 2000~2500), and it pulls very nicely up to 7000rpm, which is what the current rev limit is set at. I think I'll raise it up to 7500 as the engine is built to handle much higher RPM than that, and the car seems to make good power up top although it starts to drop off after 6500rpm.

Anyway, here are the pics after wash and wax last week. Wheels, tires, and suspension are coming next.

Click on the pics for full resolution.

This makes me (again) guestion why they made the RX-8 instead of just re-releasing the RX-7 with the slogan "Yeah...it's still bad-ass!"

I saw a blue FD today on my way home from work... First one I've seen in a long time. There aren't many in the NoVa area. I'm digging how clean yours is. Nice pickup!

If mazda perfects the rotary it will be unstoppable, there are just SO many fcking gaskets. When I was stationed in japan there were TONS of FDs. I guess they just didn't catch on the same way over here....

If you dont have a vid camera, I do. As long as you're still around NoVa.
