"Spring Cleaning" on the Turbo IS300

Took my valve body out to get sent off and then cleaned up a bunch of stuff I've been meaning to do....

Ah memories of no intercooler.....

cleaned up the intercooler and got rid of the "SRT"(Swift racing technology)

nice . . . i got some spring cleaning to do as well. my cars front is getting repainted since it's on it's second New England winter . . . while it's off i'm taking out the headlights adding the angel eyes and some other goodies. . . .

With my upper grille installed and with the mesh on the lower bumper, it's pretty hard to spot the intercooler unless the light hits it right.

But what about maximum performance if some of the intercooler is blocked??

I'll find out pretty soon once I crank up the boost. It's on low boost right now(16psi and made 418RWHP on pump. Stock N/A is about 185ishRWHP

). Cranking it up to 22-25psi..I'll dyno it with the front bumper on and then with it off. Doubt there will be any major different.

The only way to get the intercooler completely uncovered. Is to get a new front fascia. and that's not going to happen. Not a fan of body kits..
