Coldest Day since Last Feb. - 2004 Impulse Blue GTO

i dont know HOW i got talked into doing this, but i did. LOL. The temperatures that day (jan 21st) peaked at a whopping 24 degrees.

Anyway, this is a 2004 GTO, paint had definitely seen some better days... car hadnt been washed in over 6 months. :shocked definitely some swirls going on, some light to moderate scratches as well. After this car, i decided that i DEFINITELY need a rotary.

OK, finally, the pix...

yea it was cold.

me washing the car... i was using HOT water from a tap in the garage and it was still freezing as soon as it hit the ground..
The car was washed with Poorboys Super Slick N' Suds, and then clayed with Meg's yellow clay. Let me tell you, it was Oh-so-obvious that this car had never been clayed before.
Anyway, heres the after-clay/pre-polish pix

just imagine that, over the entire car.

I then got to work with some SSR3,SSR2, SSR1, Polish W/ Sealant, and Collinite 845

the night shots were taken immediately after pulling the thing out of my garage...

Wheels got PB Wheel Sealant, tires got PB Bold & Bright

There were a few tough spots on the wheels. Dylan and I decided they were probably best left for spring when i can get at them without having ice on my hands (im not joking, my jeans even froze to the pavement several times)

and now, daylight shots.

all shots were taken by dylan (the owner). Also, he would like me to point out that the daylight shots were taken the next morning after driving the car home over salt/cinder covered roads.

Too bad it will be covered again in a day.

I'd like to give my car some TLC, but I can't bring myself to do it in this weather.

yea hopefully he'll take better care of it since ive cleaned it up... its under a car cover right now... hes at school all week

I need a porter cable to polish with, my car has swirls like those no matter what I do because I hand polish.

i have much respect for that car but I just don't like it. after driving it, it really isn't as exciting as other cars i've driven. you did an excellent job detailing the car and would love it if someone volunteered to do mine.
