New beater hotness

Picked up an 88 Landcruiser today, 176k for $2200. Pretty solid truck, needs some work but I love it and got it for a killer price. I bought it to eventually replace the STi and have some extra cash to travel for a year. But now it makes me want to build the STi into a complete track whore...

Awesome pickup, my friend just bought an old landcruiser as well for a killer price. His is white though... Those things are so sweet!

What are the plans for fixup?

Mechanically its fine so mainly just cosmetic stuff. New bumper, quarter panel, interior carpet, etc... Should be fun.

IIRC isn't the Lancruiser the opposite end of the "power" spectrum from an STI?

i had an 87 land cruiser for my first car (blue, 100K on the odometer and still runs like a champ!)... those things are tough. 4 speed manual tranny ftw

they dont corner like the sti, so be careful
