Don't powder coat them, it ruins the alloy in the wheels. BBS of America said so. And the wheels in the second picture are gunmetal, not black. And i believe his is spray paint.

Here is where my friend got his spray paint from and his wheels turned out great:

i dont believe that is a true statement....it all depends on how hot the oven gets when you bake the rim...that could affect the strentgh of the material

and oh well....they are already getting blacked out

for the guys how had there wheels painted gloss black how much did it cost to do it? mine are gunmetal right now but it want gloss black

i had mine painted professionally gloss black with three coats of paint and three coats of clear for $100 a rim

If I remember Correctly I paid $250. I had to bring the rims to him with no tires.
