Default Turkey Day Shoot ft. MY05 Aspen

So I was driving around Fairfax trying to find some relatively scenic spots (a seemingly difficult challenge in this city) to take pictures of my new STI, or at least just beautiful fall pictures... I figured today would be the best day to do it, as there will be little traffic out on the roads and hopefully not many cops messing with me.

Here are the results of a couple hours of fun with me and my buddy and my DSLR. All shots were taken with my Pentax ist*D DSLR and an 18-55mm lens. I'm really sort of a newb at photography, but I'm hoping to get better with practice/trial & error.

A little fun:

And onto the pics!

And this one is rather long, and its my first real try at a panoramic type photo, I know it's not perfect...

10% I believe... Came on the car when I purchased it. I had 20% on my last car and this is much darker.

And thanks for the heads up, I thought it would look better aimed at it but I'll try that next time.

Yea the only thing "wrong" that I can see is the wheel issue. But then again I am no pro. Nice pics!

i like your attempt at the "panoramic" shot, even though that usually means from left to right, not top to bottom! if you crop that image down, you've got yourself a true winner!

i think just cut off the bottom of that panorama. The bottom portion with the concrete and lines is not needed. The sky looks great though above the car with the city as a back drop. Try cropping it and i think that shot will look great.

Everytime you tilt your wheel away from the camera, god kills a kitten.

Great photos bro, and your car is looking amazing. I especially love the GIF!

Wish we had fall like that down here, it's incredible....it looks the same here all damn year around! Nothing but sunshine and palm trees Oh...well maybe some rain

I didn't realize it was heresy to do so... I will from here on out never turn my wheel!
