Default Blown away by my sti (56k beware)

I have had a High horse power corvette, 240sx and mustang but I can't get over the sti. I was bored today and I live about 3 miles from the base of the rocky mountains so I decided to go find a dirt road and see what this car can really do. I had the most fun I ever have had driving including track time, the car handles amazing and seems like it wants to be on dirt over pavement. Here is the aftermath; just some pics of the car really dirty. I don't think I'm going to wash it till spring.
BTW: I didn't put those cheap tires on the car, they came on the car and were put on by the dealer.

got some advise for you

1st, put the DCCD in full rear
next turn the wheel to the left
now let the cluch out and floor it
hold this position for about 60sec then go get some stickey tires to replace your "worn" ones

glad to see your having fun with it

i know exactly how you feel. Every time i see an open dirt area or gravel or grass i just want to take my car on it and have some fun. In fact earlier today i was just rallying around in the gravel parking lot at my school's football stadium after getting tickets for the game. The car just got a new paint job on one side after deer damage was fixed. I didn't even think twice about the paint quality when i saw the gravel lot.

And you're dead on about the car being at home in the dirt, it definitely loves it more than the road.

I'm glad to see someone else pushing the STI to it's full potential. If i remember, i'll post up some pictures of my car from this morning when i get a chance to take some.

I just had mine back on the same road but it just snowed 6 inches so it's all muddy. I went through some pretty deep puddles and snow and the car was amazing.
