your composition looks good so don't follow the above advice and angle it. PLEASE DON"T!!!

you have to watch the lighting in the area to get the best cast on your car. If you can see, the lighting in the first one looks well distributed towards the back but there are slight shadows on the front. Not bad, but definitely something to watch for. The second one is all jacked up and it has to do with the white balance. by converting it to b&w, you don't notice much but the color version makes the car look darker than it really is.

Parker,
Yeah, I really don't like the angle rice shots much.

The lighting was terrible but I think I could have fixed it with correct setup on the camera. I used the flash, but was told not to use it on cars. What settings would you recommend or start with in that environment?

Thanks again everyone.

I have a coffee table in the house, why mount it on the car. Besides wings are for airplanes I have thought about red tails though.

there isnt' much you can do on the camera to fix the situation if the light is so bad. you've got to watch the light better and try to determine which part of the car needs to be exposed properly.

I usually shoot in Aperture or Manual mode as I have an idea of what I want my shot to look like. I've only recently started shooting in RAW and that helps to fix color cast, white balance, etc., that can mess up a photo. Don't be afraid to use photoshop to manipulate photos...it isn't cheating.
