Thanks. Yes, current one is holding up fine so won't change it, but if I ever do, I'll keep the latest one in mind ...

I would say that I could easily tell the difference between the sound of our header compared to stock.
I was able to easily tell a difference between the old Perrin ELH and the Invidia ELH a few of us had. The Invidia easily had a much smoother tone/pulse spacing.

That makes sense, every header is going to sound a little different.

The problem is whether or not is is truly equal length. I didn't think the old Perrin sounded like an ELH and I believe someone on NASIOC measured it out and found it not to be. I've got a KillerB on the way which will replace my Invidia. I've heard cars with the KillerB, but I'm expecting the sound/tone/pulse change to be very minimal on my car with the same exhaust, if any... But will give me a direct comparison.

It's true that our headers and pretty much all bolt on aftermarket headers for the EJ aren't 100% equal length. Reasons for this is so customers don't have to do modifications for install, (or keep them at a minimum if they have a GD), for ease of manufacturing, and fitment with stock style up pipes. The benefit of our header is that it is much more equal length of course than the factory header. Every brand of equal length is going to sound different due to variances of lengths and size of tubes, and that's to be expected.

I don't buy it. ELH can be done in a factory fitment and my Invidia was FAR better. When I take them off, I'll measure them and account for the bend radius and post them here. If they're not truly ELH, don't advertise as such.

Either way, I was far from impressed with the last iteration from Perrin.

When we designed the PERRIN header originally, we based it off the JDM factory header. We improved on it by using bigger pipes, and using bigger port sizing. Over the years we’ve tweaked it several times to make it even better. We’ll soon post results comparing the older style header to our new updated header.

The PERRIN header has been proven over and over to make good power, that’s why it’s so popular!

Feel free to post numbers from the Invidia in another thread, but in this forum, we want to keep the subject matter on PERRIN parts only.

CJ "from the Internet" made a good bit more power when he switched from Perrin to KillerB. I do not recall how much, but I can text him if you'd really like the numbers. These are the types of comparisons you need if you really want to sell this new header at this price point. You should be welcoming these comparisons, rather than pull a "Bose".

Personally, I didn't know the header was popular.
