| I am not a white remote supremicist so I cared not that I would receive a functioning remote free of charge that was blue in colour. The remote was received in good order, I programmed the functions I wanted on it, and lived with the blue. Walking by it every day. Picking it up and looking at the God awful blue. It had some kind of sparkle flake in it. But I could live with it. Or could I. I found myself grimacing at it simply upon the sight of it. In haste I took a black permanent Sharpie to it. And absolutely ****ed it up. It was now the ugliest remote in the universe. I might as well have a smoke signal to disarm my car. (Actually that would be pretty cool, but very impractical). I took brake cleaner to it and wiped off the felt pen, which left a nifty haze on the blue. Undaunted I went to Home Depot and picked up some flat black paint (I ran out after painting my wheelbarrow and patio furniture flat black) and some 600 grit wet sand paper and went to town on the Compustar remote. A few hours of masking, sanding, dusting with paint, waiting, drying, dusting with paint, waiting, drying (went to work, came home) dusting with paint (went to watch the Canucks) drying... And voila: I bet you it will stop working again within a month. Compustar will send another remote. It will be blue. I will go ****ing postal. But only after I post here to forewarn all my mates. -Dalton |
