IWSTI Addict since: May 2005 | I think just about everyone knows I'm selling my STi (or trying to anyway) and I'm looking to get a bike this summer. I really have my heart set on the Hayabusa and I just wanted to see if there were any owners in here? If so, I may want to pick your brain a little if you don't mind Also, feel free to post pics of your bike. Thanks |

I'm a pretty big dude so I think I would look kind of funny on one of them and I also don't want something that's real light and snappy so that the front end shoots up everytime i gun it. I'm not looking for a bike to do wheelies on or anything

Just curious why you say you wouldn't go near anything bigger than 1000cc?

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2006 | yea ^^ what he said, hayabusas are pretty insane bikes, definatly not a good starter bike. They are still the quickest bike in the quarter running mid 9s with a good rider. |

IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2007 | Have fun when the subframe collapses Yeah that isn't a first bike by any stretch. A nub + Busa = Death and suffering. If it's a first bike then get something small, like a SV650 or something. Don't worry about your size in relation to the bike. I'm 6' 2" and any bike will make you fold up a little bit (unless it's a Wing or something) but all of them have enough minerals to get you down the road. The damn 600's are slowly creeping up to 120 at the back wheel these days which is nuts when you think about what the literbikes are putting down. Can't tell you what to get but don't go balls out first off. And pland on spending at least a grand on gear, and I don't mean the cheap **** either. And take a MSF course. |
