IWSTI Addict since: Feb 2008 | Hey I didn't know you were trapping high like that with your SHO. Your not the only one with a "funny" fast car. I too have one. Altima 3.5 with a fully built vq35de, six speed manual LSD. Next season i'll be running high 11's all day N/A with slicks. |

1. yea im a car guy. 2. i dont care what their capable of becuase i dont like the car period lol. 3. i respect what its doin but for you to think your sti is no match from a roll is a understatment.. the 20g small turbo bs is ur problem... throw a 35r on with sum meth. end story. As far a road course..come on man..even if a saw a sti lose to one on the road course you have to knw the sti is way beyond that car on a road course period............and as for all that roll bs..thats jus for people who either cant drive their car or cant get it off the line fast enuf to walk awd down..WHO's Problem is that?? RUn from A real race start DIG!

20g is bigger than factory turbo. sti is better road course car in proper drivers hands definitely. don't think anyone is going to argue that.

I'm not looking to make this the fastest STi out there, so a 20G and my driving experience should do fine. My SHO has a MUCH more poweful motor than my stock longblock STi, get over it. I have been running meth on my SHO as it's ONLY source of charge cooling and I would never bother with meth/water injection ever again. The ignorance you show is what we SHO owners thrive on. It makes it much more fun to say, "you got beat by a Taurus". I've heard it all before and BTDT. As far as the road course... Cars have strengths and weaknesses and my biggest was instant boost out of a turn. Also, don't be upset if you run into a boosted SHO and get stomped as you heard it hear first and that's not even mentioning the new SHOs.

coming out of turns hard is just more driver experience. a good driver in a wrx will absolutely rape a sho in corner entry/exit speed.

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2007 | I'm sure that I would be able to wrap my STi around a turn much better than my SHO, bit I wouldn't call my buddy a horrible driver. I may not be a good drag racer (especially when you fear a broken axle or transmission every launch, shift or anytime I get traction), but I've got a good bit of seat time on the road course and the twisties in the mountains of CO. My SHO does have quite a bit more top end than my STi, bit it took quite a bit more work and money to make that happen. Sorry, I got tired of reading the 5th grade texting from the other member. On the plus side, the SHO is working into collector car status and is already gained value in the last couple years. |

IWSTI Addict since: Aug 2008 | yeah that sho would definitely bonk a stock turbo or a 20g sti from a roll race. but frankly that doesn't mean anything. like i said i think the project is cool, but no way in hell can we compare sti on the road course. ive ridden with my friend (member here) in his stock turbo sti with an exhaust and a tune for only power mods. and watched him break hearts all day of supercars running race rubber, on measly 245 street tires. not few cars are as capable for the money around a road course in the hands of the right driver. |
