It was beat bad. I was expecting it to be pretty quick. Automatic + weight maybe? It probably didn't help it was a roll race mostly out of that car's powerband, plus mile high altitude.

Just stage 2 (Cobb AP) with an intake. Yeah, I'm sure. It was at a local meet, and we did the pull cruising around on the freeway. We pulled off eventually, and went and checked the car out. Back said G8 GT.

I didn't know they made a GXP of the G8. I thought it was planned, but never went through.

EDIT: Wiki says G8 GT = 361 Horse, 6 speed auto. G8 GXP is rated at 415hp/415tq 6 speedmanual/optional auto.

i hope i'm not thread jacking here but i could use some imput...

i'm not a huge street racer, but there is no track close by to settle this at. a friend of mine wants me to race his other friend with a z06. i'm on full stg II while the vette has some exhaust, no clue to what capacity. apparently, the dude brags non-stop about his car, but has no idea how to drive it. we would be racing from launch. personally, i don't think it would look good for me after second gear. what do you guys think?

if its a c6 z06 even if he cant drive it moment he gets into those long gears 2nd-3rd its gonna look like u slammed on the brakes.

c5 z06 the fastest stock drivers were running 11.7s and 11.8s in them. just gives u an idea what u are up against.

stock c5 is dynoing around 340-350RWHP

c6 440rwhp or so...

c5 u mite get him if u are very good and hes horrible.

c6 i don't think u have a prayer
