| Spec C Club Feedback Score: 1 reviews | I have, but there was some traffic so it was in short spurts.. It was also the 400hp not the current 550hp CTS-V.... I am sure that the current one would absolutely walk away unless you are pretty heavily modified...

The car is in Minnesota (where I used to live) and the owner is on the Minnesota Audi Club website where I am also a member. If you choose, feel free to register and check out this post with some insight to his problems. Login. If you choose not to register, take solace in the fact that I am registered and I have copied and pasted this very post right here and I have no motive to exagerrate someone else's misfortune. "My '04 A8L has 108.8K miles on it. It was the 573rd '04 A8L made in the world. It was an Audi Executive's vehicle the first year. They took it to dealers everywhere East of Chicago (you could see this in the GPS history) before they were available to see in the U.S. I had an extended warranty that covered the cost of the new long block. They looked for a used engine for seven weeks and finally ordered a new engine from Germany. The insurance company did NOT want to pay for a new long block. The engine was so damaged they could not get a core deposit exchange. This car has had over $35K worth of maintenance done on it in 108,800 miles. My out of pocket is over $9K. Audi USA offered me $5K on a new A8L, but they offered me $16,000 less than Edmund's says my car is worth on the trade. I am on a first name basis with everyone at Maplewood Audi's service department. I know who's getting divorced, what their children are doing, where they went on vacation, what they shot for scores on the golf course, what their hobbies are outside of cars. When I drive into the service bay they just go and get me the A8 loaner before I even tell them what is broken now. I am considering a new vanity plate...AUDILMN, or LEMON. Do you think this would enhance the value of my A8L?"

Much of the maintenance was playing catch up on deferred maintenance. So the time period should have been extended, but the final cost would be the same. I did try selling the car, but the list of problems turned away potential buyers. People wouldn't even give a second look when they heard of some of the problems; very very few people want to buy a car and then dump more money into repairs. So I hung onto it, fixed things, and now that it is straightened out, I'm listing it for sale again.

| Amateur STI Driver Feedback Score: 0 reviews Car: Black 08 STi Fav Mod: Coming Soon | Couple weeks back I was driving and the road was completely deserted and I was at a light. The road I was on had a speed limit was like 55 so I switch into S# (usually drive in I for fuel economy) and hit it. I got the like 60 and dropped it into 6th. At the light there was a Solara with some guy driving and a chick in the passenger seat. It was a Solara, W/E. I wasn't even trying to race the guy. So I'm crusing at like 60 and this guy in a Solara comes flying by me. I was not going to get shown up by a Solara so I drop it into 4th and commence an *** whooping upon said Solara. After the *** whooping was completed, I dropped it back into 6th and started cruising at 60 again. I had 3 of my friends in the car at the time and one of them is like the guy is gaining on us. I checked in the rear view and surely enough the guy was coming back for seconds. This time I didn't let him even catch up. I have some really good stories with my bike. |
