Well, this is really one for the "dumbest thing someone's said about your STi" thread, but technically no one said anything. An idiot in a Charger blew me away this morning.

We were almost side by side at a light. He looks over, starts revving and revving, giving me the nod. Only thing is, I'm not first at the light. In my lane there's an Acura suv in front of me. WTF.

Light turns, he spins 'em and screeches off. Not that I would of raced such an @ss anyway, but Jeez--where do these people come from?

raced an 04 M5.. he was by himself and i was with 4 people including me.. we went from a stop and were together until mid 4th.. if i were by myself it would have been an easy win

I was beat by a Prius on the way home from work yesterday. I was in 4th going 35 (and earning a big 22 mpg on the dash) when I started to ease past the Prius to the left of me. In a mad thrashing of his go pedal and a trail of water pouring out of his exhaust, he eased up ahead of me and blocked my lane change only to later change lanes in front of me. Due to traffic, i changed to the lane where I first noticed him just as he slowed to make a left onto a side street. If I'd not changed lanes he would have caused me to have to stop and wait for him.

305 hp ftl! I laughed at his kill.

So no reason to hate on someone unless you were there and know the specifics of the situmaaawation.

Also street racing is a large part of Americas car roots and a large part of what the industry became/desired.

SO..........without street racing you probably wouldn't have your sti today.

I agree with everything except the bolded text........doesn't make much sense. STi isn't made for street racing its a rally car.....and didn't even originate from here, therefore, having nothing to do with America's street racing roots.
