The Prestige and The Departed are where it's at. Both movies keep you thinking all the way to the end and do a great job at it.

The Departed is nice and violent, Alec Baldwin and Mark Wahlberg are hilarious in it. Jack Nicholson is plain crazy.

The Prestige is great too. The plot has a lot of interesting turns, and doesn't necessarily end happily ever after which is cool to see in movies every once in a while.

other movies I've seen recently...
Flags of Our Fathers - decent movie, won't win any awards but it's cool to see that part of history. kind of paint's that administration in a dark light with how they used those soldiers to get more money rolling in to support the war.
Marie Antionette - I'll say that I really liked Sofia Copolla's other movie Lost In Translation. This one though wasn't that great. Kirsten Dunst made it a little easier to watch cause she's nice to look at (there's a scene at the beginning where you catch a shot of her butt - goodness), but the rest of the movie was just too choppy to get into.
Grudge 2 - I saw an early show (7ish) which was a mistake, cause 98% of the packed theater was 12-13yr old girls who screamed at every sudden scene change. Made a movie that probably only sucked a little (I'm not a horror movie fan) suck a whole lot worse.

Really? Saw is a 5 movie franchise didnt know that. Also the departed is an amazing movie Leo is an amazing actor. The scene that especially shows this is the face to face with jack nicholson in the bar when they talk about the rat in jacks crew. Scorsese better get the damn oscar becuase if he doesnt i am gonna start to think the academy has it out for him. Definately gotta check out saw 3.

I love the shield too, Lem is the greatest character. I also agree with the sopranos too but you forgot entourage, Lost, Heroes, rescue me, nip/tuck, dexter, weeds, top gear and especially 24. Never seen deadwood though but i hear good things same thing with the wire.

Only tv show i watch is the tonight show. Im never home other hours so its all i can catch... Has anyone seen the guardian? 16 blocks is a really good movie to. Bench warmers was funny. The break up is VERY funny i thought. Poseidon is a good movie also. Very different from titanic (lame). Click is more sad then funny i thought. I liked the new chainsaw massacre it had a lot of funny parts. I saw employee of the month. That was ok. Accepted was ok as well. By ok i mean it was worth watching. Hollywood land was good, i didnt like the ending much though. Wicker man was good, nice ending. Talladega nights was cool. I thought snakes on a plane was good. School for scoundrels is good. Miami vice was one fo the worth movies ive seen. If i can think of more ill give you guys some input.

i did not see the last 45 minutes of the last episode of the 5th season.... waiting till it comes out on DVD... so pissed, i know lem dies due to grenade. but i want to see the whole thing.

also, dead wood is not 100% fiction. there are a lot of historians doing research for the show to make it authentic..... i was really surprised to here them curse so much. since in 1877 that was never acceptable, you were libal to get shot if you said damn in front of a lady. but the camp of Deadwood was a whole differant story... realy awesoem show that shows how we started...

I'm not 100% sure instead 90-95% so dont get pissed at me if im wrong but I read somewhere january 9th. Remember theres quite a bit of time from now till then though so things can change.

Oh yea and to add the whole movie review aspect of this thread I just saw a movie last weekend called thank you for smoking. Its amazing and hilarious too. Robe Lowe's part is great even though its really small. And Aaron Eckhart's character is a diabolical genius, youll see what i mean when he retaliates against the article about him. So thats 2 for me.

Last night at like 2:00 AM I watched the Omen 666. It was pretty good and I was fckn scared I can't lie. I was carrying my litle yorkie around with me when I had to go to the bathroom during the movie. haha, my wife was asleep as she refuses to watch scary movies with me.

So hopefully Jan for the Shield. Thats cool if I remember it usually gets a late start to the season compared to some other network shows.

+1, Thank You For Smoking was very good.

I saw the Guardian, it was decent, kinda cheesy/sappy in parts.

sorry if it was me that gave away an ending.
