Got pulled over tonight.

So i got pulled over for the first time in my subaru tonight. It was a friends birthday and we all partied a little. I knew i was good to drive, hopped in the car and drove off. Not more then 2 miles from home i see 2 cop cars have pulled over another car. I slowly creep around them (as they were blocking my lane) and go on my way. 500ft later i see blue lights, I say **** and pull over. It goes like this:

Officer: L & R
Me: here you go sir
O: Know hwy i pulled you over?
Me: No officer i dont.
O: ITs because your exaust is loud.
M: Its a subaru part, it was installed at the dealership, I mean, i dont have the proof but look at it, its not "aftermarket."
O *looks at L & R* where are you comming from tonight?
Me: a friends birthday party.
O: well you smell like alcohol, so I'm going to ask you to step out of the vehicle.
Me: No problem sir
O: now, i want you to say the alphebet as fast as possible while pausing between each letter
Me: dowhat?.... ok.. A B C...... XYRZ... oops.. RZ... i mean Z
O: I'll let you do it again
Me: *does it perfectly*
Officer two arrives
O1: now i want you to stand on one foot 6in from the ground with your arms at your side while counting one onethousand till you hit 30.
Me: THIRTY SECONDS?
O1: you can start whenever you want.
Me: one onethousand, two onethousand... thirty onethousand
O1: Alright you can get back in the car, i dont beleive you are indoxicated
O2: *under his breath to 01* we have 2 more tests
Me: *gets in car*
O1: Now that you know you are not going to jail i want you to take a breath test, that way if you pass i can let you go.
Me: Yes officer, *blows*
O1: well if you were not 21 you would not be going home
Me: *freaking out*
O1 .057, i donno if you are on your way up or down, but i had to check.
O1: here is your warning for that exaust, next time have proof its subaru OEM.
Me: No problem officer, I'm sorry again for all of this.

well, i was very nice to the officer and I know he was fishing for something to give me a ticket over. I KNOW there is no way he could have told my exhaust is not OEM, even with me going by him. However, i was still nice and that got me a warning. I know he and O2 got a great look at the car (GTworx.com vinyl down the side, wing, and stock looking exhaust) a few times. Nothing, there was NOTHING they could do but let me go. He even admited that the exaust was OEM looking and that he was going on a hunch. I replied with I'm sorry i drive a car like this but....

Either way, i was not drunk and the car was not illegal

I think it was funny that of all places.. at night, going slow, less that 2 miles from where i live.. i got pulled over... goes to show ya, police are everywhere you dont want them to be

Ya, it sucks man. At least you passed their tests with flying colors. If you did not have the vinyl you probably would have gotten off scott free. Just another reason for me to buy a whisper or stealth back when I get a DP.

I have a borla XR-1 uncatted... so WOT its LOUD but crusing around its really not loud at all. It also idles quiter than a Cobb catted turbo back.... so he was fishing... big time.
