Oh ****

Yeah, my Mom sounded pretty shook up, so I figured it must have been a decent quake. Damn

My fiancee said she felt it all the way up here in Petaluma. Looks like it was a 5.x just N/NE of Alum Rock. I didn't feel it though. I have lived here for 8 years now, and still have not felt an earthquake

i've been here only a few years, and i've felt 5 so far

one while visiting my wife's family with my parents (scared the crap out of my dad!)
two while i was at work
one that woke me up at night
and than this one today.

this one could hardly be mistaken for "was that a big truck driving down the road or was it an earthquake?"

BART probably had a hell of a day. There was a man "under" the train at Powell, they weren't sure what happened with him.

Now BART has to check all the railroads.

Per CHP, freeways are good, no damage.

you all probably wont believe it... but i missed it completely.. the bathroom is a safe place here..

one disconcerting thing. on the sj channel (11) a guy from the usgs said that typically quakes of this size in cali lead to bigger ones w/in 72 hours... he said something like a 6.2. fun stuff.

wait?? I didn't feel a thing. I don't know much about plate tectonics, but I really hope these little ones mean that a huge one doesn't come around.

Btw Peleg, are you gonna be using a rotary buffer this weekend?

so no one else knows either? I kinda got buried by earthquake talk
