how is it better for the car? trust me, i agree he should get it tuned, but the stock ecu will still adjust and learn for the tbe. the power will be increased with an off the shelf map and maximized with a protune.

i have hit fuel cut with my vf39 on the stage 2 map, a protune and with my 20g.

so how will he not creep and hit fuel cut? the only way is to port the turbo. and that comes from mike at gruppe-s, who is one of the best tuners as you know.

Sorry for the rant.

Ha ha, get a sl33p3r like mine. Took a S4 earlier today it was 2 models ago though
Still the look on his face when my lil egg took him was hilarious, then he says to me something about checking my sparkplugs because of the black smoke coming out of my exhaust. I just looked at him and laughed

If I had the money, I'd get the JRS kit for the Integra, rebuild the engine, bigger brakes, new clutch, tune....maybe someday...

You are talking about the 2.7L Twin Turbo S4?

I have a co-worker who has one, with chip and exhaust. He's actually planning to sell it.

Not sure if it was an S4 it had the badge bigger brakes up front then normal, he had SSR's on his car. So yeha not really sure if it was a real S4 but it was at least 6 years older or what not, it still had the corner light tht was removeable. Anyways the look on his face, plus the reaction of the black smoke was funny as hell.

Ive read over on Nasioc that it may be a issue with the casting process itself. So some may have the problem and some wont.

If the porting(more like shaving a lip leading to wastegate) is done right, your creep will be gone.

[b][u]so how will he not creep and hit fuel cut? the only way is to port the turbo. and that comes from mike at gruppe-s, who is one of the best tuners as you know.

how is it better for the em better for the car...timing, afr, makes your car hold consistent boost, etc. i am no pro, but this I know...don't run without em with a tbe..end of story
you can advise others of whatever you want..but coming in this thread and saying what you're saying is incorrect and will cause people to damage their cars.

The only reason I am saying what i'm saying is becuause i care about his car, and I won't allow you to tell him it's safe when it isn't...

stock computer will not adapt properly to a tbe, because it can't get any consistent numbers to adapt to

it's also funny how you said that mike says that you can port the turbo and have no problems with creep, i'll be sure to ask him about saying that next time i see him..i could have sworn i've heard that the vf39 could still creep with a ported wastegate and ported turbo or even a new turbo...hmmm i'll have to ask him

by the way, i haven't creeped since i had a protune...

dude all I know is he you can port the wastegate and you can port your turbo and still creep. and like you know you can creep on other turbos as well

ok you got me, his car will not blow up without em, but some think it will and all my friends agree with me on the point that you really should have em with a tbe. The point is that it's important for his computer to know what's going on with his engine. Without em, his ecu will be getting different boost levels at different loads etc. It will never run at or near it's best

what turbo ?

just got back from two days in santa cruz and and afternoon in half moon bay
been driving the jetta for two days

did see a nice R32 in SC though... too bad the owner didn't look like he was used to driving a manual transmission. i thought he was going to stall it constantly.

sounded pretty nice too, think it had exhaust, but looked stock.

then i say a blue sti in half moon bay (pillar point) was parked next to a sherrif, then drove off and parked near the restaurants.

any south san jose sti's going to gather somewhere to watch fireworks ?
