Haha, I wasn't hating at all. I actually like the way yours looks, I was just whoring out the two pics I actually have, that's it.

Did you figure out that odd sound you were having after the header install?

Yeah, one of the most unavoidable things thathappens with most up pipes in general, they leak. Jag and I took it out for a quick test drive and it was boosting in the neighborhood of 16.4 1-4 and 18.57 to 19 in 5-6 so other then an annoying whistle my car has lots of power. Oh yeah the other leak was a missing dp nut that someone forgot to torque down all the way last time. I am happy with the car, and the difference was felt right away from the start, I am happy with the outcome. Plus it only really whistles when I am under heavy throttle or higher rpm's so yeah. +1 for jag for taking a look at my car again.

I will drive the car around for a few days, or weeks and see if the leak goes away or not. I might be looking to buy a flex up pipe or even a ewg kit instead.

yeah, I think where it meets the header

would a double gasket job be a good idea?

You can try. Usually what happens is that that flange gets warped due to uneven/over torquing. You can see by setting it on something flat, and if it is really bad, you may need to get it ground down at a shop. Try the double gasket and see if there is a visible defect with the flange. If it isn't too big, another gasket may seal it.

Haha, you are really serious about this, aren't you? Well you gotta stay, so I can see how my car stacks up to an evo lool.

if you have the time; try to unbolt the header at the block, then tighten the up-pipe to the header properly, then re attach the header to the block.

just my guess

semi-serious. i think the pricing is gonna keep me from doing it. i am pretty sure driving it wont help deter me from wanting it, but who knows. the reasons are kinda stupid for me looking into it. but the cost of adding to the sti recaros, touch screen navi, a 650 watt system, sirius radio, 18" wheels, and the paddle shifting would not be cheap. hahaha. we shall see. i found out in passing that the estate isnt going to settle any time soon, but distributions are possible. i dont think i want to go there though. i think my biggest fear is that if something goes wrong, i am stuck paying for it on the sti. i have no reason to believe something will go wrong, but i am becoming a bit paranoid. like checking the meth levels twice before i leave each time, feeling around to make sure it isnt leaking, etc.

if i do get it, i will stick around. and i am sure you guys will be able to crush me. unless you miss a shift. then i will float on by not missing a beat. hahaha. i also think i will do a proper break in with any new car i get. i didnt on this one.

i hope the whistling sound is fixed. is it super loud?

according to 100 people, there are about 101 different ways to do a proper break in.
however, there is only one bad way to do it

Haha guys, this is Evo day. The lady sent me a ton of pics of the black Evo IX MR and it looks to be mainly stock except for the rims/coilovers.
I can post the pics here if you guys want but they are pretty uneventful. My reasoning for wanting to do this is as follows:
I have always wanted an Evo (more than an STi )
It would increase my loan amount but I could probably obtain better financing (Like 13.99% currently )
It has very low miles (16k v my almost 56k)
It comes with those uber supportive seats in LEATHER!!
Insurance will still probably be rediculously high
It has those AME FS-01 rims on it right now (look to be 18x??)

Anyway, I had a ton of money to throw at the STi when I got it and I got shafted. I didn't haggle whatsoever and I don't really know how to over the internet with this lady. Haha, what I am asking is how do I go about getting them to lower their price (they want $30,xxx) and how do I get top dollar for my trade?
As always, any and all help is appreciated.
