| Professional STI Racer | anyone have any idea what kind of torque wrench type thing i would need for the beam install? i found a great price on a breaker bar.. i figure i need one anyway. might as well get the torque wrench if the price is right. |

You'll want 3/8 metric sockets from 10mm - 21mm (most kits have from 10-18 or 19) A 1/2" drive breaker bar with a reducer for 3/8 sockets A foot/lbs torque wrench in the drive of your choice. A metric wrench set from 10mm - 23mm (as I remember you rear diff sensor is a 23 so they are handy to have around when your fluids are due.) A set of flat-blade and phillips screwdrivers for the stupid plastic "pop" hardware on Subies. A twelve pack and some smokes and some help from a buddy in drinking the beer.

I think you should get some sways or something functional so you can actually enjoy a positive performance difference sorry to be rude but this bumper beam thing is a waste of money IMO

IWSTI Addict since: Jun 2005 Trader Rating: (1) | My suggestions is to buy a 137 craftsmen set from sears, it has 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 rachet set for both standard and metric (you'll almost always use metric) It goes up to 19mm socket and it also comes with a 12 and 14 wrench. i think i bought mine for like 95 bucks or 100 bucks. Good investment, it will allow you to do almost anything on the car (besides stuff that needs special tools) A 1/2 breaker bar is very nice to have and so is a 1/2 torque wrench. Jacks and jackstands are nice to have too. Im going to get a set of air tools soon myself. This ad is not endorsed by this member. Please register or login to hide this ad. |
