You'll want 3/8 metric sockets from 10mm - 21mm (most kits have from 10-18 or 19)

A 1/2" drive breaker bar with a reducer for 3/8 sockets

A foot/lbs torque wrench in the drive of your choice.

A metric wrench set from 10mm - 23mm (as I remember you rear diff sensor is a 23 so they are handy to have around when your fluids are due.)

A set of flat-blade and phillips screwdrivers for the stupid plastic "pop" hardware on Subies.

A twelve pack and some smokes and some help from a buddy in drinking the beer.

Those things are $2.99 per! I had to buy four and I was floored when he told me that.

do i need all that for this install? i swear the vid lists 10mm, 12 mm and 14 mm sockets, the breaker bar and tq wrench (from what i dont have now). i was just planning on picking those up this weekend.

the 1/2 " breaker bar is 24.96. so that isnt that bad.

fwiw, i have the screw drivers. so no issue there.

He was just recommending some things you should have. This list isn't specific to the bumper beam install.

Just wanted to say Gram is the man!
See you tonight.

If you are willing to drive up to marin I can do it for you or let you do it with my tools...then we can go hit the backroads and test out your new parts

I think you should get some sways or something functional so you can actually enjoy a positive performance difference

sorry to be rude but this bumper beam thing is a waste of money IMO

My suggestions is to buy a 137 craftsmen set from sears, it has 1/4 3/8 and 1/2 rachet set for both standard and metric (you'll almost always use metric) It goes up to 19mm socket and it also comes with a 12 and 14 wrench.

i think i bought mine for like 95 bucks or 100 bucks.

Good investment, it will allow you to do almost anything on the car (besides stuff that needs special tools) A 1/2 breaker bar is very nice to have and so is a 1/2 torque wrench.

Jacks and jackstands are nice to have too. Im going to get a set of air tools soon myself.
