This car is growing on me more and more as each day goes by! I am hoping that I can get a test drive when the car finally comes out in May. I went to the Auto Expo and got a first hand look at the car and I must say that the car looks amazing!

Here are a few pictures that I took:

I still like it. However, C&D and Motortrend both had articles on it this month. The said it is heavy like the charger. 425hp v8, IIRC 0-60 4.7 and 1/4 is something like 13.5. Not bad, but I figured it would be faster with an engine like that. Weight FTL

Handling is similar to the Charger/300, but stiffer and more sporty vs comfort. Interior looks almost exactly like the Charger.

I'd still rock it if someone gave me one though. I dont think I would buy one. Im also interested to see what kind of numbers the Camaro comes out with. Mustang is also due for a facelift.

If I were to buy one I want to wait until the Camaro is released to see what GM has done with the production model. If they have done a great job on the new Camaro as they have done with the Corvette, then the Camaro should be a damn good car!

haha the black looked nice, it had black wheels too. I was actually going to class one morning and it pulled up next to me in 100% camo. It was the first time seeing one in person. He was data logging and all that fun stuff. I nodded to him and he did back. I was like oh! is that the new camaro, but then i though about where i was at and realized it was the challenger. They are nice cars and they look a lot better in person

I agree, they look great in person but I have yet to see one in black or silver. I think that a black on black combo on that Challenger would look freaking awesome!

Its a mean looking car. Too bad it has Shelby GT500 syndrome (i.e. it weighs so much the power of the engine is mostly negated). It used to be a fox body mustang with a decent driver could run 13.5s practically stock with 225 hp. Now it takes 425 hp to do the same thing. Its a little unfortunate because that engine should take a car well into the low 12s with that kind of power.

Id be curious to see what the larger Hemi sounds like S/C. The girlfriends father as a S/C Charter R/T and you cant hear the S/C at all at all.

I don't care that it's retro, I wasn't alive in the 60's so it's the first time around for me . A good looking car is good looking regardless of whether it inherits any of it's looks from earlier models. Besides, in the case of Challengers, Camaros, Mustangs, and similar models, I think maintaining a strong consistent design is the right choice. It should always be recognizable for what it is. Maybe some day 30 years from now we'll see a retro STI with a big ass wing...
