Default Opinions: 70's muscle car colors on a STi

Many of the stock STi colors I feel are on the bland side and I was thinking just how bold many of the 70's cars were. What do y'all think about a hugger orange, sublime, or grabber blue STi? What other 70's impact colors do you think would look good on one? I have been thinking about hugger orange with flat black rims.

The red STi decals on the doors and fog light blanks would pop nice with it. Add a carbon scoop and it would be a nice don't mess with me look.

Grabber blue is very close to Hyper Blue.

Just a few of the old mopar colors, makes you sad when you start looking at old car ads.......

If done right quite a few of these would work, the yellows and browns and greens would be tough but could be done

That's what got me started thinking about it. I have always loved the Dodge/Plymouth impact colors. I bet Petty Blue would look great with white rims.

I'm loving the plum crazy purple idea...it would probably look pretty mean done right and it would give me a good laugh thinking about Joe Dirt every time I looked at the car.

I never cared of that Orange WRX/STI Subaru did a few years ago. It was the most basic ass orange you could paint a car. Like water color or pastel orange.

Would've been much better with some deep metallic or pearl in it.
