1988 camry that I had inherited (it was my first car)... took about 20 minutes for the heater to start working on the way to school in the morning, lol. Talk about being a death trap if you ever got in an accident.

In order of when purchased: I went from every day beaters and cheap fun cars to a super fast beater , and expensive fun cars. NOTE: Came from strict, conservative upbringing, and bought every car I have ever owned with 100% my money and 100% my insurance except the hand me down cheap VW Golf Diesel I had in HS. Looking at what I drove in my youth, I think I stated captain obvious.

1986 VW Golf Diesel (slow beyond slow)
1987 Mitsubishi Starion (fast for it's time and I still own it)
1988 Mazda B2200 Pickup
1988 Dodge Caravan (work vehicle)
1995 VW Golf (traded in for STI)
1988 Chrysler Conquest TSI
1988 Mitsubishi Starion (highly modded racer)
2004 Mazda RX8 (my first brand new car)
2004 STI (still own)
2001 Honda S2000 (still own)

Almost bought an Evo in the mix between the S60R and STi, but made the right choice. I do miss the S60R...SWEET car, just not like the STi in terms of rawness.

Bit of overseas Flavor, from UK & then Singapore

1980 Ford Fiesta 1.1. Complete rustbucket, got me thru 17 to 21, when a car like the STi would've most likely gotten me killed.
Fondest Memory: running it around town for a day with no cooling water due to a split hose, failed to see the temp guage off the scale. Didnt miss a beat. Still miss that car
1989 Ford Escort 1.6. Burned more oil than petrol. Sold to a relative who blew it in 1 month.
1988 Rover 213e. downgrade due to lack of funds during Masters. A Detuned 1.3 engine in the old boxy shape 213, (for economy). The worst car ever, think it had about 10Hp. Would barely make some hills if there was a headwind (no kidding)

1993 Nissan Sunny 1.5 (Sentra for US folks) F***ed Engine. Sump dripped oil onto exhaust, producing JamesBond-esque smokescreens
2001 Nissan Sunny 1.6. My first ever new car.
