Angry horrible bodyshop experience

this is from a member from zilvia.net, but it's messed up to see just how ****ty this guy's work was. he brought in his Z to have a bodykit installed and this is what he ends up with. all pictures are copied from zilvia.net. Here's the guy's profile and website.

widegts - Page 4 - Zilvia.net Forums

More pictures as promised.

Here's the rest of the damage we found today.

Is that rust? Why, yes. Yes it is.

Hinge that was moved.

We dropped the car off, stock. All tabs in place.

Runs...

Oh, nice. Overspray.

Underneath the rear bumper.

Look at the stock bumper, then look at the lip kit.

There's NO clear on the lip kit underneath there.

Mmmm, orange peel.

Stock compared to painted lip.

More screws...

Body line screwed up.(Mike moved the doors...)

Ohhhh, very nice.

The kit on the ends is smooth to the touch. As in, NO PREP WORK WAS DONE.

Wait wait wait...what's this?

I didn't know cars still used wood!

So much for flex additive...

Sparkly reflective tires are awesome!

Rear lip...

Just by looking at the sides and rear, you can easily tell they're not color matched.

Kit coming apart from the bumper.

Clear overspray. Who doesn't love overspray?

This is on the ENTIRE car by the way. Not just a little here and there.

I don't even want to know what the hell happened there...

wow I second lawyer time. Nothing will make youre point more than sucking EVERY penny from this shop. Put them out of business because quite honestly they don't deserve to be in business.

This is Johnny, Brian's (Serris/Rubicant on other forums) friend.

His shop is:

Michael Quinn
(626) 926-0289
iDesigns / Import Image
921 Fairway Dr.
Walnut, CA 91789

We're dealing with this the best way we possibly can.

All we want at this point is to have the Z repaired back to OEM spec.

The entire lip kit is garbage.

We were quoted by 2020 $4,800 to repair everything damaged. They also stated that this is just an estimate. There's a good chance it may be higher because they have to remove the entire lip kit to view the horrors hidden beneath them.

Please feel free to post this on as many car forums you possibly can.

We trusted Mike to do a great job on the Z. You would think being his friend and knowing you're not retarded would play a roll in his mindset, but I guess not.

This entire job is ridiculous. He's going to have to pay every cent to have it repaired at a real body shop.

Thats simply the worst body work I have ever seen and I have seen plenty of rattle can jobs. Thats horrifically bad. If the guy is not willing to cover your out of pocket costs to fix this debacle, lawyering up is a good idea.

Crap, even I can do bodywork like that!! I'd cover the screw heads with a big blob of bondo though to "hide" them....

Seriously though....that sucks!

WOW...

I think I could have done a better job and I have zero experience in that sort of thing.

They actually expected the guy to be happy with the job? wow... just wow.

My god, that guy must have been smoking crack. I don't even know how I would react if someone did that to my car, but it would probably involve a blunt object.
