I have one on my calf that took 6 hours staight, it's definately my prefered way to do it.
But the tattooist wanted it that way. He felt he would do a better job with the finer details. I'm cool with that, I'll be back on the 15th for the rest.

people's names tend to be a poor choice. most artists i know try and talk people out of those things.

a cover job will always look like a cover job. maybe something like this instead?

arm bands are not flattering at all. go with something surrounding the names that reminds you of your kids. the animals etc that flow around the names sound good. tribalectic.com under shop directory usually has nice places for piercings and tats.
