IWSTI Addict since: Mar 2005 Trader Rating: (4) | A cheap reliable source of transportation. As far as racing in the canyons or elsewhere, the only Hondas that can do that are on 2 wheels. |

IWSTI Addict since: Oct 2006 Trader Rating: (4) | My 98 Civic EX had 160K miles on it, and all I did was change oil and give it petrol for all this time, no major mechanical work, even though I just recently sold it, I'm in contact with the new owner who loves it, and I'm also thinking about getting another Civic for DD and quiet cruising. |

IWSTI Addict since: Sep 2007 Trader Rating: (1) | Like others said, cheap, reliable, affordable, very good on gas and extremely boring (S2K excluded). However if it is the first four points that you are after, i dont think there is a better car than a Civic |

They are doing well as a company though as their Fit, civic and Accord are perennial best sellers. I just wish they would get back into making real sports cars. The s2000 is a nice car, but it has not been able to compete on power for quite a few years now at its current price point. And when lord when are they going to finish making the next gen NSX, its only been a decade or so! That goes the same for Toyota and the next Supra. Edit: Fixed it for the one person who cared. IWSTI Addict since: Jul 2006 Trader Rating: (0) | Hondas are great DD cars.I see them in the canyons and im just waiting for them to fly over the cliff. Sometimes they do and sometimes they smack right into the side of the mountain. I know a few that can actually make it pretty quick up the canyon. S2K's thats another story though cuz they are great handling cars. I just laught at the hondas that are riced out or people think there fast with there loud intake or fart can. Some are fixed up real clean and i like that. |

Anyways...are we including Acura in the Honda category? The S2K and NSX are classsics. I owned a 95 Civic coupe and hated it because of FWD...so I traded it for a 91 240SX...awesome car. I loved it because it was so cheap that I didn't care if I wrecked it and getting it sideways was super easy. Too bad I traded it in for my 02 WRX...I haven't looked back. Snow and Rain have never been so fun..... Got a bit OT for a sec...Hondas are great for putting around town, but I just don't like FWD. | |
