i would expect the Z06 to walk from a roll, but that launch seemed weak to me. I mean the Z06 is mean, but so is the GTR

I'm glad to see a grand touring car pulling supercar stunts like the GTR has while still being cheaper than the Z06 but I'd rather have the Vette. Don't know why. Maybe because when it comes to EVO/STi and s2k/Z the AWD rally monsters are still outdoing these entry level sports cars. And maybe because we all know for an extra five or ten thousand their is a big gap between a base model Vette and a 350Z. Definently worth that extra money if you got it to spend on a RWD sports car.

GTR reminds me a lot of EVO/STi but I guess once you get into supercar territory their may be too much to overcome? V Spec should answer any questions they may be left.

now it's awd, twin turbo MONSTER lol...it's a race car, as is the z06.

just for the record, you can buy a brand new 08 or 09 Z for invoice, which starts out around 65k + options. I'd wager that gtr's will not go for that cheap, not anywhere close.

However, both cars are pure whoop azz, and I'd be delighted to own a gtr.

Either you like vanilla or chocolate. No point in arguing which is better. I don't care which is "slower" or "faster" I'll take the GT-R. Just my preference.

you guys must be pretty desparate for win to need some asswipe who can't drive from oman to make your case for you. the vette should beat the gt-r from a roll; there's no surprise therel. it should never walk away on a launch like that. theyre within a click and a couple miles an hour trap between eachother anywhere else.

I also expected the the results from the roll, but I think something was up with that launch. Perhaps the vette is on slicks? Either way, neat stuff and I also would take the GTR. Everyone and their brother has a vette around here..

for all we know, the guy in the gt-r never drove before or they deliberately staged it to create the impression. what is amusing is the look of determination on the face of the vette guys (ok, i'm using my imagination) when the gt-r grabs all the attention.

I would still prefer the GTR, even if it were slower, just so I don't have to be "that guy" in a corvette. I love the Zo6, but I just can't bring myself to own a corvette.

Besides, if I had a GTR, I would definitly be doing a COBB flash on that bad boy.
